The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change. Carl Rogers

Pauline Fearon Dip, Adv Dip, MBACP

Hi, I'm Pauline and I'm a counsellor based in London. I gained my qualifications at the renowned CPPD counselling school in Hornsey. My counselling approach is integrative and person centred. As your counsellor, I will offer you a safe space where you can freely discuss and explore any issues, difficulties or concerns in a non-judgemental environment, where you will be accepted unconditionally.

My counselling style is integrative; some of the therapeutic models I work with include person-centred, transactional analysis, psychodynamic and Gestalt. I work with dreams, imagery, poetry, artwork, and various other media, that my clients may choose to bring to their sessions.

Testimonials

"I was referred to Pauline following a course relating to eating disorders at Holy Trinity Church, Brompton. Pauline was easy to speak to right from the beginning and I felt very comfortable talking to her. She was very down to earth and "normal", not at all judgemental and always put me at ease.

It continually amazed me how, on the days where I felt I had nothing to say, she always managed to get past that barrier and, usually, I would leaving the session realising that I had barely stopped talking for the whole hour! I found her very professional and she always made it clear that we would only take things at a pace which I found comfortable and could cope with. Although she would make suggestions about different strategies and methods we could use, it was always entirely my choice as to when and if we actually used any of them. Although my eating disorder is still with me, I definitely feel that I understand it a lot better now. I learned so much about myself and the way my mind works that I am now aware of what is happening when I have a "bad day", whereas before I would just get sucked into it almost unaware until it was too late. I finished having my sessions with Pauline as I felt that I probably had all the tools to deal with matters on my own and I understood my coping strategies a lot better. It was therefore a case of my consciously making the right decision when the difficult periods came. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending others to Pauline and am so grateful for everything she did to help me improve my life"      L

"I saw Pauline for about two years every week. It helped me a lot to be able to talk things through with her! She was very respectful. She helped me set my own goals of where I wanted to progress to with her help and supported me in becoming more aware of my own thinking and reacting patterns.

She encouraged me a lot and also motivated me to try new ways of thinking about and describing things which opened up new perspectives."       S
